I just finished Richelle Mead’s second installment in her Bloodlines series, The Golden Lily. If you’ve read her Vampire Academy series this is a must read. I really enjoyed it. My daughter’s best friend is an avid reader and loves both Mead’s series. She warned me before I started the book that I was going to be frustrated with it about half-way through and aggravated with the ending. Now anyone who’s a fan of Mead’s work knows that a lot of her books have that effect…she loves to leave her readers wanting more, most writers do! But I will say that Mead has a particular talent for it and I love her for it! While I did agree with her assessment I feel I must add that it was only slightly frustrating in the middle but the end was definitely aggravating. Still…I couldn’t put it down and I absolutely loved it!!
