What I Really Learned in College, With Honors series, Book 1

I put on a pair of pajama bottoms and a sweatshirt and curled up on the couch with a blanket. I flipped on the television to a rerun of Criminal Minds, one of my favorite shows. The last thing I felt like doing was studying even though I knew I needed to catch up on some reading. I snuggled in with a blanket and got comfortable. Visions of Mason kept haunting me and I could only pray that I hadn’t made a big mistake.
My cell phone buzzed bringing me out of a fog. It was Lisa.
“Hey, what’s going on?”
“I just got the kids down, finally. McKenzie did not want to go to sleep tonight. I fight with them every time they come back from their dad’s,” she complained.
“Luckily, my dad wore the boys out today. They barely stayed awake long enough to take their showers. I put them down just a little big ago. They’re already asleep.”
“So, how did things go with the beanie boy? I’ve been dying to call you all day.”
“Me? What about you and Nick? I cannot believe you took Nick home with you,” I laughed.
“Nick,” she laughed. “Nick is built like a hamster.”
“What? You’re kidding me. He’s so cute,” I exclaimed.
“Yes, beautiful, young, built like a brick shit-house, Nick is hamster boy. You got sex on a stick beanie boy. I got hamster boy. How freaking fair is that?” Lisa complained.
“I’m so sorry,” I couldn’t stop laughing. “Please, tell me he at least knew what he was doing?”
“Ten second hamster boy? Are you kidding? It took longer to get undressed than to have sex. It was horrible.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry.” I tried by best to stop laughing but I couldn’t.
“I would have been better off taking Jared home or even that little ginger headed boy.” Her voice was dripping in sarcasm.
“So, I am guessing you won’t be seeing him again?”
“He’s twenty-one years old, I don’t need another child,” she remarked.
“This coming from the woman who’s encouraged me for the last three months to ravish beanie boy?” I teased.
“That’s different.”
“How’s that?”
“Because you’ve spent two days a week with him every week for the last several months. Because you two have been playing this flirty little game since you’ve met. Because you need to return to a world where men exist and sex is fabulous and curls our toes and makes you scream. Because he’s good for you.” Her explanation surprised me a little.
“Do I need to remind you that he’s the same age as Nick?”
“Do I need to remind you that you’re five years younger than me?” she shot back.
“I am twelve years older than him. He’s a kid!”
“You need someone young to bring you back to life. Like I said, he’s good for you.”
“You keep saying that. I’m not so sure.”
“So…,” she said, edging me to further explain.
“So, what?”
“Oh, come on, Alex. Did you pop the boy’s cherry or not?” Lisa laughed.
“That ship sailed long before I got my hands on him.” Not long before.
“Please, tell me he was better than hamster boy?”
“I would have to say he’s definitely not hamster boy. Not at all.”
“I knew it, you slut! How was he?”
“He’s a little rough around the edges, but he’s got potential.” I wasn’t about to tell her about our first encounter last night. I’d sooner forget about it myself. “He’s performance was a six, a high six, and there was definite potential for growth. No pun intended, but his pregame needs a lot of work!”
“How bad was it?” I knew she was fishing for details.
“Let’s just say I’ve been weather proofed.”
“Oh, my God!” she roared with laughter.
“It was bad, really bad. I mean I could have propped my feet up on his shoulders and given myself a perfect pedicure. The boy had one stroke.” I couldn’t keep from laughing myself. “I mean I could have given him a roadmap, a GPS, put up neon signs and he couldn’t find my clitoris. I don’t think he even knows what one is let alone where it is. And don’t get me started on his poking…Ahhhhhh!” I playfully screamed into the phone but not loud enough to wake my boys, before I burst into laughter with her.
“We’re so terrible,” she said out of breath.
“Why? Because we’re honest? Thank God he’s got a huge cock or I think I would have cried.” She roared through the phone. “I’m serious.”
“How big was he?”
“It was nine, easy. I wanted to measure it. And it was so beautiful. Or maybe it’s just been that long cause I swear I almost came as soon as I climbed on it.”
“Lucky bitch,” Lisa said, her voice heavy with envy.
“I don’t know. I think it may have been a big mistake. I probably shouldn’t have slept with him.”
“You think too much, Alex. Just have fun and enjoy yourself for a change. Live life a little.”
“You’re insane.” I sighed heavily. “I’m gonna go. I am exhausted.
“I bet you are!”
“Night.”
